Tuesday - Well there I was, sitting in a layby in deepest Shropshire speaking to Malcolm about retro styles! - let me explain! He wasn't there of course, he was in the hot seat within the BBC Hereford & Worcester Radio studios speaking about the topic of Retro 60's and 70's furniture. It just so happened that I was out on a buying trip so I pulled over for a good old chin wag with him. The simplistic lifestyle was in the headlines again and we both agreed that it wasn't all 'top dollar' items that came out of that period. I recalled sitting on my parents sofa as a kid - a sofa which would be destined for the tip these days. There were however some pretty top designers that emerged from the 60's and 70's so my advice was to look out for these labels or simply to buy quality - a move I'd always favour as you won't go far wrong. As for Glitter balls, flares and platform shoes? - I'll let you decide on those!!
